James Charles Farrell

With heavy hearts the family announces the death of James Charles Farrell of Kitchener, formerly of Perth, at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, June 29th, 2013 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years Mary (nee McPherson) in 2010, he is lovingly remembered by his children Jimmy of Elliott Lake, Linda King (the late James) of Perth, the late Joan Wallace (October 2002), Colleen Casselman of Kitchener, Nancy Dowdall (Tim) of Kitchener David (Julie) of Kitchener, and Paul (Kim) of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Anna Farrell (nee Lockridge), his brother Francis John and sister Louise Bishop, James leaves precious memories with his 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. James was a long time employee of the former Brown Shoe Company of Perth where he was employed for 40 years. He moved to Kitchener in 1973 where he was employed by the Kaufman Shoe Company and later by the Andrew McNeish Shoe Company when he retired in 1984. Family and friends will gather at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener (519-743-8900) on Wednesday July 3, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery.
