James Martin Strnad

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of James Strnad on May 1st at 79, peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jim is predeceased by his beloved wife, Ellen Rose in 2007.

Loving Father to Cheryl (Dennis), Michael (Brenda) and Pamela.

Beloved Stepfather to Stuart (Deceased) (Mary), Susan (Tony), Stephen (Cheryl), Anthony (Lisa), Brian (Karen), Andrew (Janet), Derek (Luann), Janet (Graham), Tracey (Rob).

He is missed by his Dear Friend and companion, Nancy and her family, Cindy (Brian), Kim (Lance), Jason (Megan).

Sadly missed by his many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Dear Brother to Robert (Susan).

James was a long-time member of IBEW Local 804.

He loved to spend his time travelling, fishing and tinkering in the garage.

Special thank you to our sister, Pam for her loving care of our father in his final weeks, making him comfortable and for just being there.

James’s family will receive friends and relatives at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener on Friday May 5th, 2017 from 7-9pm and Saturday May 6th from 2:00pm until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 3pm.
