1964 to 2025
It's with sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca "Jane" Kalbfleisch, age 60. Jane will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Rebecca, brothers, David (Danielle) and Brian, and niece, Eleanor. Jane was predeceased by her father, Jim. Jane studied English at university, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Waterloo, and a Ph.D. from Emory University in Atlanta. She had a particular interest in women's studies, and went on to teach at Wilfred Laurier, Waterloo and University of Manitoba. Jane was a source of light, joy and humour for all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
The family is hosting a celebration of life for Jane's family and friends, on Sunday, August 17th, 2025 at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) from 1 to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or another charity of your choice.
