Jason William PfeifferBorn January 2, 1970Passed away June 25, 2012 due to complications from leukemiaLeft to celebrate his life and legacy are his loving husband Paul Bishop, doting mother Dorothy Pfeiffer, Aunt Marie and Uncle Don Peins, cousins Dawn, Donny and Kerry, along with Jason’s extended family and his many friends, numerous musical collaborators, band members, colleagues, students, seisúún players and other musicians in the Irish music communities across Southwestern Ontario, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and other locations.Jason's love of music made any occasion that called for a flute, pennywhistle, bodhran, or mountain dulcimer, even a jazz trumpet, a joyful celebration. All of these instruments were played by a gentle giant of a man with an incredibly loving heart and friendly presence.Jason might be gone “Awa’ the Crow Road”, but we are so grateful to have been his companions on the journey.
Please join us as we celebrate our friend Jason's life and legacy, to grieve for his passing, to support each other, and to honour the man who touched our hearts with all he had to give.
The 1:00PM service will be in the sanctuary of the First Unitarian Church of Kitchener/Waterloo at 299 Sydney Street South, Kitchener. This will be followed by light refreshments in the hall downstairs.
