Passed away on November 25, 2013 , in her 94th year.
Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert, son-in-law Archie McCallum, grand-daughter Kathleen McDonald, and 5 brothers. Beloved mother of Sharon (Don Robb), Grant (Jane), and Sheila McCallum. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Bette (Don Sewell), and Barbara Barnes.
She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Cremation has taken place.
Friends will be received at Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, 519-743-8900, on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 3-4pm with a Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 4pm.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at The Westmount Long Term Care, as well as Joan’s friends Dorothy MacDonald and LuAnn Schmitt for all their love and support.
Donations can be made in Joan’s name to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or the Red Cross.
