What a life she led. Born and raised in Malta, a beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea. She lived through WWII and in her late 20’s came to Canada where she met our father Mike (predeceased). They married and moved to their first home in Kitchener where she lived until 6 months ago. The neighbourhood was like a second family.
Dearest mother to Rita (predeceased), Anna (Mark) and Tony (Lori). Loving grandmother to Nick (Esther), Lisa (Chris), Tracy (Jason), Melinda (Dan), Benjamin, Kelly and Katrina and beloved great-grandmother of Seth, Olivia, Jade, Faith, Maddison, Lillyanna, Cara, Lucas, William, Natalia, Lucy, Penelope, Jaxon and Billy (meow).
Most important was God, without Him we are nothing. She was a founding member of St. Aloysius parish and a member of CWL (Catholic Women’s League) for 50 years where she took to the stage to entertain seniors. Her dream was to become a comedienne.
She was never home, always out with her amazing friends.
Unfortunately dementia entered the picture and the last few years were difficult. She forgot moments in time but up to the last day had no difficulty remembering her prayers.
She was small but mighty and will be remembered by anyone who had the privilege of meeting her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Church (11 Traynor Avenue) on Tuesday, January 23 at 10:30 am followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery, then reception at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society for Dementia. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.westmountfuneralchapel.com .
