Special thanks to the families of Simon & Laverne Breig and Ken & Paula Craig for welcoming Mary in their homes during her childhood years.
To those close to Mary, she was always on the go. She was a realist whose focus on family and professionalism to her job of 16 years never waned. Laughter thrived at her home. She was quick witted, highly intelligent and not easily fooled in most circumstances. She was definitely a “Queen” fan for decades. In her spare time, Mary would be knitting beautiful blankets or crocheting. She also had a soft spot for animals of any sort. Her kitties (especially Panther her big black cat) miss her and are always looking for her and the great tummy rubs they got. In the months leading up to her passing she spoke often with family members of supporting an animal rescue operation. The family has decided to grant her that wish. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that any who come to say goodbye to Mary to consider helping by contributing to Carroll’s Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Hanover, Ontario. They do have a Facebook page if you would like to look first. Of course, your choice of any charitable organization would also be great.
Friends and family may visit on Sunday, February 19th from 1-3 pm at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener, Ontario. Many thanks from our immediate family to the paramedics and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener for their attempts to keep Mary with us. Cremation will take place. Mary will then be brought home to where she will always belong.
