

Passed away peacefully on June 13, 2021 at Hospice of Waterloo Region, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Sadie Oesch (d. 2014) for 56 years. Maurice was a proud father to Suzanne (Dave), Coleen (Paul), John (Sarah), Maureen (Brian), Sara Lynn (Dave), and his late son Bradley. He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren Amy (Justin), Mark (Nicole), Josh (Lorissa), Bradley (Amanda), Brian, Brooke (Brett), Emma, Will, Hannah, Amelia, Lavender, Ryan, Hayley, Dawson, Rylie, Shea and Beth, as well as his great grandchildren Charlotte and Evelyn. Uncle Maurice will be missed by his brother-in-law John Hayes (Sue Brown), sisters-in-law Donna Langdon (Ken Brohman) and Elaine Coutts (Gary), and his many nieces and nephews and their families.
Maurice was predeceased by his parents Magdalena and John B Oesch, his sisters Loretta Burgetz (Lloyd), Clara Hartleib (Alec), Edna Jones (Aaron), and brother Clayton Oesch (Alberta). Maurice was a proud public servant working as a Primary Foods Inspector in the Federal Department of Agriculture (Canada Food Safety Agency) until his retirement. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, a lover of classic cars, an admirer of aviation, and he always enjoyed a good game of Scrabble.
His family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Please note: In order to attend the visitation, registration must be done in advance. Guests will be allowed a maximum of 30 minutes to pay their respects to the family.
