Stephen and Bill:  I just heard about the passing of your Mom.  She was a wonderful friend to my parents, Joan and Doug Hewitt, as was your Dad.  I believe your Dad and my Dad worked together at Robinson's in Hamilton and our parents became close friends. Some of the guys from the old neighbourhood pass on their condolences, my brother John, Chris Saija and Al Carey all said to say sorry for your loss. Affection for Auntie May grew from my earliest days out of the love towards her felt by her younger sister, Margaret, my mother.  Though separated by the Atlantic, their relationship stayed close and warm as it had been from their youth in Burntisland.  Auntie May and Uncle Joe showed us kindness, generosity, warm hospitality and real interest in our lives and well-being.  That continued into the lives of our children, who also have fond memories of visits in Britain and Canada.  Auntie May's smile, laugh and zest for life will all be remembered with love. Deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother, I see by the photos online that she has a very loving family, so I can only imagine how much she will be missed.

My Wife, Cathy is a RN at St Joseph Hospital and in the past she would occasionally run into your Mother at work.

Most recently our daughter Breanne has been asked if she is related to Bill Bellingham the teacher.  Breanne is presently at Laurier's teachers college and several principals asked her this question

Bill, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I didn't know her but she obviously lived a long and fruitful life as a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. I know it's painful to lose someone you love but I'm sure you have many wonderful memories of her that will sustain you in your loss.
