Born August 5, 1951 in Kitchener, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents Rev. Harry and Norma Schmidt (nee: Hudson) and Opa and Oma, Rev. Ludwig and Barbara Schmidt (nee: Katzenmeier) and Grandparents Cyril and Helen Hudson (nee: Jones).
Will be sadly missed by brother Rev. Gary and Ingrid Schmidt of Kitchener and sisters Jennifer (Ray) Rimmel of USA, Hanako (Brent) Schmidt of Newmarket, Keiko (Mark) Winter as well as step-mother Machiko Schmidt of Toronto and many loved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In his younger days Randy worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Marsland and Leigh Instruments in Waterloo. They really enjoyed having him there.
As a life long, faithful member of the New Apostolic Church a Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday Sept 6 at 7 pm at 160 Margaret Avenue officiated by Rev. Dan Bechthold and Rev Corey Lindner. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to the New Apostolic Church, Foreign Extension.
A very “Special” thanks to the medical staff and at St Joseph’s Health Care Centre in St Thomas and our faithful family and friends for their loving prayers and support.
Randy was also an Avid “Elvis” fan!
