Robert Henry Palmerton

Passed away at home surrounded by the love and support of his family. Robert (Bob) Henry Palmerton was in his 75th year. Bob was born in Galt, Ontario November 16th 1948. The son of the late Idella and Clayton Palmerton. Beloved husband of Sharon for almost 55 years. Dear Father of James (Jen) Palmerton and Kim (Nick) Laurette. Loved Grandpa to Lana, Karisa and Jackson, Landon and Bryce.

Brother-in-Law to Harold pre deceased (Joanne), Dorothy (Al), Arlene (Robin), Art (Chris), Paul (Lynda), Helen (Keith), Delton (Jayne), Bruce pre deceased, Marilyn (Vernon), Roy pre deceased, Ray, Floyd (Debbie). Bob had many extended family members that he cared very much for including many nieces and nephews.

Bob loved building and spent many Saturdays in earlier years at the home improvement store. He was a proud mechanical engineer and tool and die maker by trade and always had a vision that was most admirable. He was a mentor and leader for many. He loved a good laugh and would never pass up dessert, on any occasion. He faced many battles over his life but approached everything with dignity, grace, and perseverance. He was a true gentleman and will be remembered by his kind heart and positive attitude.

Family and friends are welcome to gather to celebrate Bob’s life at Bethel Missionary Church 1531 Bridge Street, New Dundee.

Visitation Thursday May 18th 5-7pm

Visitation Friday May 19th 9:45- 10:45am, with an 11 am service followed by lunch.

Burial service following at the New Dundee Cemetery.
