Beloved husband for 67 years and best friend of Jean Hilton. Precious father of Susan Hilton (Marty Mathieson). Adored by his fur-baby, Kobe. Also remembered by Step Grandchildren Dan and Deanna and Great Grandchildren Penelope, Hailey, Everly and Carter, and many nieces and nephews.
In Roy's younger years, he enjoyed a good game of pool, downhill and cross-country skiing. He also enjoyed cruises and travelling. He played cards Saturday night for 50+ years with his best friends Shirley and Neil Pellar. Playing Shanghai Rummy and Solo, Roy thought he was the greatest card player of the 4 of us (his opinion!). He was a part of a group of Poker buddies for years. He was an avid antique collector of Mechanical and Still banks which gave him great pleasure. Roy worked for CN Weber Ltd. as Credit Manager for 31+ years.
Predeceased by his beloved son Scott Hilton (1978), his brother Wayne Hilton (Carol), and his parents John and Emily Hilton.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Roy will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Please note: proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend indoor funeral services for those age 12 and older. Masks are required.
