Passed away suddenly at St. Mary’s Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Eldon Shantz for over 57 years. Dear mother of Kathy Cardy, Karen Brockelbank (Bob), Ken Shantz (Libby), and Kevin Shantz (Elena). Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Judy Martin (Paul) and Helen Turner (Cosimo).
Predeceased by her brothers David Richardson and Peter Cavenay. Shirley’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 10:00 – 10:45 am, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am.
