Beloved wife of LaVerne Hurst, who predeceased her in 2023. Dear mother of Linda Gibson (Graham), Debbie Carter (Andrew), and Renée MacDonald (Mark). Loving grandma of David (Rylee) and Matt (Tianna), and great grandma of Parker.
Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Stella was the last remaining member of her generation of the Bewick family, having been predeceased by her parents (Alexander and Dora), and her siblings and their partners: Bill (Mary), Anne (Ralph), Mary (Ralph), Doris (Stewart), John (Doreen), and Alice (Adam).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mom's neighbours who have been so supportive and helpful: Raj, Wendell & Lisa, and Stan & Dorota. A special thank you to the amazing caregivers and staff at The Village of Winston Park (Williamsburg and Egerton) and Mom's wonderful palliative care team.
Mom passed away on what would have been her 74th wedding anniversary. She might not have made it in time for the dinner--but she arrived in time for the dance with Dad!
Stella's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m., where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Doon Presbyterian Cemetery, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations would be appreciated to Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada - Mission Global (Ukraine), 2450 Milltower Court, Mississauga, ON L5N 5Z6.
