Thomas Henry Douglas

Peacefully at Cambridge Country Manor on Sunday, December 24, 2017 in his 69th year. Dearly loved father to Corinne Pattullo (Jock), Colin Douglas, and Craig Douglas. Proud Grandpa Tom adored his grandkids; Courtney, Alicia, Haley, Evan, Lia and James. Survived by his siblings Robert (Elaine), David (Vicki) and Susan Montgomery (Mark). Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Velma, Uncle Tom will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Tom was a long time ski coach and instructor locally and across Ontario. He loved tools, shopping and working with his hands, his family fondly referring to him as “Tom the toolman”. A very social man, Tom always had a good joke and was not shy to tease. A lover of the ladies, his teasing will never be forgotten. He was a joy to be around, always positive and laughing, bringing warmth to the hearts of the residents and staff at Cambridge Country Manor. Friends and family will be received at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., on Saturday, December 30, from 10:00 am to 12 noon. Funeral Service will be held in the Westmount chapel at 12 noon with Rev. Jack Paleczny officiating. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice are greatly appreciated.
