Child of Anna and David Smith. Sister to Jim, Margaret, twin sister, Mildred, and Jack, all deceased.
She was the loving mother to seven children, Ann Hardy, deceased, Paul Uhrig, deceased, Dennis Uhrig, Mildred Clarke, Jim Uhrig, Linda Hilts and Winnie Quelch.
She was a Grandmother of 13 and Great Grandmother of 16. She gave unconditional love and support to all.
She was a longtime member of St. Peter's Church. Rain or shine, she loved to walk everywhere. She was also an avid reader, liking mystery novels the best. As a baseball fan, she remained loyal to the Cleveland Indians. She was also a fan of Elvis Presley, Wayne Gretzky and Pierre Elliott-Trudeau.
Special recognition to her daughter, Milly, for her devotion in caring for our dear Mother.
Thank you also to everyone at the A. R. Goudie Eventide Nursing Home for the care and kindness you provided to our mother in the last years of her life.
Mother and Grandmother, you will be missed. We all love you.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.) on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 10 until 11, with a service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m.
