Anthony D. (Tony) Sams, age 59, of Cleveland, TN, went to be with his Lord suddenly on August 4, 2016. He was a self - taught artist who was very creative and loved his art work. He had an associate’s degree in drafting. Preceded in death by his mother, Edna (Bobbie) Sams; grandparents, Robert and Cora Penley and Edgar and Callie Sams. Survivors include father, Rev. Bob H. Sams and wife, Sylvia; brother, Tim Sams and wife, Jannis; sister, Becky Sneed and husband, Jeff; nieces, Lindsey Sams and Brandy Sams; nephew, Bryan Sams and wife, Stephanie; great nephew, Jaxon Sams; great-niece, Brylee Sams; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr., Knoxville, Tennessee 37918. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Hoyt E. Stone and Rev. Mark L. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst cemetery. Pallbearers; Mike Melton, Bryan Sams, Jeff Sneed, Mitchell Davis, Tee Blevins, and Josh Blevins.
