Arthur "Jack" Ivey

Arthur “Jack” Ivey, age 94, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022. Member of Greenway Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. Retired from Sunshine Industries after 22 years of service. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1952-1954. Jack’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he always enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his garden. Gracious, humble and kind, Jack always had a warm smile and a twinkle in his blue eyes. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and all those who knew him. Preceded in death by loving wife, Ruth Bates Ivey; parents Maynard and Mamie Byerly Ivey; brother, Kenneth Ivey; sister, Jeanette Daniels. Survived by daughters, Pam Underwood (Roger), Trina Koontz (James); granddaughter, Ashley Huffaker (Rob); grandson, Weston Koontz; great-grandson, Peyton Huffaker; sister, Josephine Oxendine (R.G.); special friend, Helen Clarke. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. The graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday at Eastview Memorial Gardens, 1320 Andrew Johnson Highway, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871.
