Barbara Jean Brock, born on March 17, 1950, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 75. She was a resident of Powell, TN, member of Temple Baptist Church, and faithfully attended Chilhowie Baptist Church. Barbara retired from the Knoxville Police Department with 30 years of dedicated service, and afterwards spent many hours volunteering in various elementary schools.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Dan Brock; parents, Otha and Ruby Hopper; brother, Jimmy Hopper. She is survived by daughter, Amanda (Brandon) Brooks; one grandson on the way; extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, January 23rd from 5-7pm with funeral service following at 7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Pastor Cody Sturgill officiating. Graveside service will take place Saturday, January 24th at 11am at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
