Betty Sue Greer, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2017. She was a member of Gillespie Ave. Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Alice Bell Ball Park. She enjoyed bingo and playing Rook and going to Tunica, MS. Preceded in death by husband of 49 years, Ronnie Greer; parents, Abbie and Margaret Freels; brother, Robert Freels; son in law, Jerry Bass. Survived by daughter, Debbie Bass; sons, Dean Greer and wife Teresa, Freddie Greer and wife Sherry; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Freels; sister, Mildred Crawford; sister in law, Nancy Stanley; longtime friends, Sollie and Sue Hancock, and Virginia Hurst and deceased husband Bill; many others special friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11 am graveside service Wednesday with Pastors Arnold Green, Jim Dockins, Jim Kitts officiating.
