Betty Lee Holt, age 86, of Knoxville, passed away January 30, 2016. Mrs. Holt was of the Baptist faith. She worked for many years as a hospital Administrative Secretary, including 10 years in King Fahad Medical Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She was preceded in death by her parents J.V. and Lennie Pope, her husband, Robert Holt; and her daughter, Teresa Sparks.
Survivors include her son, Michael Payne, and his wife Karen; grandchildren: Chalon Kaley, Kaley Nash, Chris Sparks and Jennifer Darnell; nine great grandchildren; her sweet dog Beau; special friends: Eileen Robbs, Joan Funderburk and Mary Peeler.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Holt will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 am in Lynnhurst Cemetery, with her son: Rev. Dr. Michael Payne, officiating. Everyone is asked to assemble at the gravesite by 10:45 for the service.
