As a young boy and teenager, he carried papers, played baseball, and enjoyed raising young calves to sell. In December 1958 joined the Navy, was stationed at Imperial Beach, California, served 4 years which included tow overseas cruise tours on Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet. In January 1961 married his school sweetheart Claudine Corum. In 1964 bought his 1960 black El Camino, with 409 engine, he still owned. He always had a special love for older classic muscle cars. Bob and Claudine have 2 boys, Bobby, Jr. and Jeff. So proud of them, they developed into wonderful men. When each one married their sweet wives Bobby and Vicki and Jeff and Lisa and started families, Bob was so excited with grandchildren, Kati, Max, Hope, Zachary, and Ryan. Each one had a special place in his heart. He loved doing things with them and telling friends all about them, watching them grow, attending their sports and different activities. As they grew up, graduated from school and went on in life as adults, their weddings Katie and Lucas, Hope and Eric, Max and Brittney. Our great grandchildren; Jordan, Riley, Shyla, Peyton, Lane, Brody, and baby Blaine, also special for him. So proud of Zachary and Ryan in college and looking forward to their graduation and careers. Over the years he has enjoyed raising and selling beef cattle, going fishing, and car shows. These last few years he especially enjoyed going to classic car shows with his El Camino and his kids, grandkids, and friends all joining him. He received several trophy's and awards with that "so fine 409." All through his battle with cancer and health issues, he always looked forward to "Family." We all will miss him dearly and have lots and lots of loving memories of him and being with him and we know that we will be together again one day.
