Charles Dewayne Mingie, age 47, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on December 29, 2024. He was employed by Knoxville Wholesale Furniture for 20 years. Charles was an avid fisherman, woodworking, and football fan.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Earl and Charlotte Carmon; father, Charles Edward Mingie, Jr.; father-in-law, Donald Kruse.
Survived by wife of 21 years, Katherine Kruse Mingie; children, Preston Mingie, Charles Landon Mingie; mother, Carol Mingie; sister, Mindy Poore; special nephew, Austin Poore; several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Monday, January 6, 2025. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 12 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive.
