Dennis Savage

Dennis Savage, a Navy veteran and beloved family man, peacefully passed away on the morning of May 10, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on July 17, 1945, to the late Fred Savage and Dora E. Hellard. Preceded in death by Robert, Gene Betty, and Marion. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Delories, their two children, Lisa (husband Garry) and Denny (wife Cathy), and four grandchildren: Josh (partner Kristy), Amber (husband Weston), Travis (partner Aubrey), and Bethany. He was also a loving great-grandfather to his great-grandson, River; brother in law, Tommy Hodsden. Dennis was a devoted member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. Known for his quick-witted humor, he brought joy and laughter to the lives of his friends and family. He had a deep sense of loyalty and cherished his relationships with Robbie, Brenda, Kay, Mary, and his large extended family. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family will receive friends Monday May 15, 2023 from 5 - 7 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home located at 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918, funeral service officiated by Pastor Chester Hodsden to immediately follow at 7 PM. Family and friends will meet Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 2:30 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home for a 3 PM graveside service with Military Honors.
