Markham, Dorothy Ray – born February 27, 1921 in Henry Co., near Paris, Tennessee. Preceded in death by father, Oscar Ray; mother, Ada Ray. Dorothy was the youngest of a loving family of seven. She lived in Memphis from 1962 to 1999 where she became a member of Bellevue Baptist Church; pastor the late Dr. Adrian Rogers. Dorothy moved to Halls and became a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was married for 17 years. Survived by three children, Michael Markham of Charlotte; Linda Bell of Halls; Felicia Hawkins of Powell and seven grandchildren(one now deceased) and five great grandchildren. They were all dearly loved by this Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
