Edward Ray Shelby

Shelby, Edward Ray, age 78, of Dandridge, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was a faithful member of Atkins Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Roe and Laura Norris Shelby; his first wife, Imogene Shaver Shelby; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred and Frank Dalton, Vivian Johnson, and infant sister, Joyce Ann. Survived by wife of 47 years, Virginia Howard Shelby; daughter Karen Jean Conard; son, Doug Shelby and wife, Nicky; grandchildren, Matt Conard, Nicole Shelby, Leann Conard; sisters, Ray and Betty Kear; Bill and Jo Stormer; Jim and Reba McMahan; brother-in-law, Bob Johnson; sisters-in-law, Barbara Jurczak, Shirley and Johnny Carter; Wanda and Bill Williams; brother-in-law, Dr. Eugene Howard; Frank and Lois Howard, Herbert and Nina Howard; Martin and Lois Howard; sisters-in-law, Hazel Huey, Daphine Holder, Virgie Dugger; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 6, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, with Rev. Herbert Jones and Rev. Ralph McGhee officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., prior to the service.
