Herbert Clyde Mallicoat, 88, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. Clyde was a hard worker and was employed in the block and tile industry for forty years. He loved gardening, lawn care, and was as country as his favorite cornbread.
He was preceded by his parents, Herbert and Clara Mallicoat; brothers, James, Walter, and Carl Mallicoat; sisters, Dorothy Mallicoat, Sue Haynes. Special furry friend "Ralph".
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and dedicated wife of 44 years, June P. Mallicoat; Sons, Wayne (Rachel) Mallicoat, Tim (Paige) Mallicoat, Derrick (Amy) Mallicoat; grandchildren, Jacob, Dawson, Hannah "Laci", Ben, Claire, Paul, and Jack Mallicoat; nephew, Chris (Kimberly) Phillips; nieces, Barbara Grubbs (Jack) Edwards, Cathy (J.M.) Hensley. Special friend Hugh Webb.
Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of Clyde on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918, with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, March 14, 2026, for a 10:00am service at Norris Memorial Gardens, Norris Freeway, Norris, TN 37828, with Pastor Larry Brannon and Ronnie McBee to officiate the services.
