James Cornell Doyal, age 85 of Knoxville passed away on July 14, 2017. Mr. Doyal was a Member, Deacon and Trustee of Lincoln Park Baptist Church. He retired as a Planner of Nuclear Construction with Westinghouse, Philadelphia Electric Company and TVA. Mr. Doyal proudly served his country in the United States Navy and in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Betty Crockett Doyal; mother, Hazel Cupp Doyal; father, Halmer Aiken Doyal; brother, Lawrence Doyal and a sister, Virginia Doyal Lessley. Survivors include his sons: David Doyal and Lynn Doyal (Kimberly Jill Miller); grandson, Brandon Scott Sheckles. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5 – 6 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 6 pm with Tom King, Officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Greenwood Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.
