Mrs. Jean Louise Shenk Williams passed away peacefully Monday, March 24, 2025. She was born April 6, 1934 in Annville, PA and is predeceased by her parents and her brothers. Her son, J. Paul Williams passed in 2010 and her husband, Kater W. Williams, of 63 years passed in 2018.
Our Mom is survived by four daughters, Tami Adams of Knoxville, TN, Paula Greer (Barry) of Inlet Bay, FL, Jane Williams of Cleveland, OH, and Christy Williams (Brian) of Eugene, OR. She has 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was honorably discharged in 1954, and will receive military honors.
Jean stayed in Mobile, AL after her discharge, met and married her husband, and raised a family. They moved several times during his police career, and retired to Panama City Beach, FL.
After 10 years, they returned to Dothan, AL where they remained until Kater's death in 2018. In 2020, Mom moved to Knoxville, TN to be with Tami and her family.
Our Mom was good at everything she did including sewing and crochet, card games and puzzles on her iPad, bookkeeping, and real estate. She had a love of reading her entire life. She was the 'fun' mom in the neighborhood and once held a Monopoly game that lasted a week.
She believed in the mission if St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and supported it many years with her gifts. Mom also supported the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer's Foundation. In lieu of flowers, please make a gift in her memory to one of the these or your preferred charity.
Mom and Dad's remains will be dispersed together at a future date.
