Katherine J. Hurst, age 88, of Powell, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. She was a member of Old Beverly Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer C. Hurst; parents, Floyd and Arlie Rainwater; brother, Raymond Rainwater; sisters, Vera McSpadden, Helen Barbre, Nadine Nichols. Survived by children, Mike Hurst and wife Connie, David Hurst and wife Donna, Becky Palko and husband Greg; grandchildren, Angie Brabin and husband Brent, Kayla Willis and husband Michael, Heather Kidwell and husband Blake, Ann Palko, Grace Palko, and Sam Palko; great grandchildren, Brandon Brabin, Colton Willis, Avery Kidwell; sister, Wilma May; special cousin, Imogene Felknor. Special thanks to the caregivers of Deane Hill Place Assisted Living. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Friday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Rev. David Rhines, Rev.
