Boyd, Lucille Armstrong, age 98, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013. She was a graduate of Young High School. She had worked for the Department of the Navy during WWII in Washington, DC and was retired from HUD. She was a member of Fifth Ave. Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Bryan Boyd. Survivors include: son, Richard Armstrong Boyd and several nieces and one nephew. Special thanks to the staff of Summit View of Farragut for their loving care and to the St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral for their caring ministry. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 PM Wednesday for graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery. The very Rev. John C. Ross, Dean of St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral will officiate.
