

HURST, Mary Rose - Heaven gained an angel on Sunday, September 21, 2014. Mary Rose, age 78, passed away peacefully in her Knoxville home with her loving husband of 58 years by her side. She had 4 loving children, one being born with hydrocephalus. Mary Rose couldn’t have been a better loving mother to Lisa, always making sure she was taken care of. She was a huge supporter of the Baptist Home for Adults (Rainbow Acres). Mary Rose was a longtime member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. She loved having her family attend church with her. You would always hear Mary Rose say, “God loves you and so do I”. Mary Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Lennon and Elnore Bundon; sisters, Rena Dombroski and Jane Von Voightlander. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bill Hurst; children: Kim Farmer (Rick), Diane Helton (Hurdle), Greg Hurst and Lisa Hurst; grandchildren: Allison Ackermann (Kurt). Drew Barncord, Tara Gideon, Brandon Hurst (Brittany), Tyler Hurst and Hudson Hurst; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brady Ackermann, Trevor and Addison Gideon and Johanna Hurst; siblings: Lenore Walker, GeorgeAnn and Joe Ford, Nema and Dick Coffey, Link and Nat Bundon, Bill and Kris Bundon, Rick Bundon, Dixie and Mike Kingsbury and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Rose is also survived by her in-laws: Bob and Donna Hurst, Sonny and Sandy Hurst, David and Wilma Hurst, Rick and Betty Hurst, Sandy and Mike Hatfield. Special thank you to Raquel and Merle from Covenant Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30pm, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Lynnhurst Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. The funeral service will begin at 7:30pm, Rev Charles Fritts officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11am, Thursday, September 25, 2014 for the graveside service in Lynnhurst Cemetery.
