
Mary Dixon Stewart Trivette (fondly called “Diki” by those she knew well), from Fountain City went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 14, 2022. Diki never lost her gracious spirit while battling Alzheimer’s. She was born on March 27, 1938 in Chattanooga, TN and was raised in Fountain City by her parents, Harry Dixon Stewart & Mary Grace Mahan Stewart. Mary Dixon was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church, Fountain City where her grandfather, Dr. A. F. Mahan pastored. She was devoted to sharing with others the hope found in Jesus Christ, and loved teaching Sunday School, as her mother did before her. She was preceded in death by Lawrence W. Trivette, Jr. and her parents. She is survived by her daughters and their families: Ann Trivette Wall & Charles Wall, Susan Trivette McCrary & Larry McCrary, Kristin Trivette Vander Sluis & David Vander Sluis, Amy Trivette Wood & Edward Wood; her cherished grand-children Caleb & Megan McCrary Bilgen, Parker & Mandi McCrary, Alex Vander Sluis, Abbey Vander Sluis, Kent Smith and Emily Wood; and her precious great-grandchildren, Adam & Ford McCrary.
Receiving of Friends will be on Thursday, Jan. 20th from 4:30pm-6:30pm with a benediction from 6:30pm-7:00pm at Central Baptist Church, Fountain City. The family will have a private graveside service on Friday.
