Diki and I were friends at Central High and at Central Baptist. She was a smart, fun friend and that never changed. The world has lost a special angel.

Edith Hutton and family members express their condolences in the passing of Mary Dixon Trivette. She will always remain a precious memory in the hearts of us all. Samantha always remembers the trip to Japan as a fond memory.

I loved Diki as did everyone who knew her.  She influenced my life.  As a newly graduated high school senior planning to attend UT majoring in education, I went on a youth retreat at Camp BaYoCa.   Diki was our counselor and talked well into the night from the top bunk about her home economics courses, how much she enjoyed them, and highly recommended them.  By the next morning I was convinced and went on to major in child development with a minor in education.  That led me into the field of Early Childhood, Kindergarten, Grades 1-3, and Preschool Sunday School, which I feel was God's plan all along, and I have always been grateful to her.
Diki was a wonderful mother and her legacy is evident in her delightful, caring, successful girls and their families. 
Her smile and twinkle were infectious and always real.  She was truly a remarkable woman, and I know heaven is rejoicing in her homecoming.



Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable women ever to grace our lives. How God must love us to have had our paths cross hers. Bless you, family. We're both mourning and rejoicing with you....

Susan, your mom sounds like an amazing, joyful, Godly woman (you certainly take after her). I am so very sorry for your loss. I know that horrible Alzheimer’s takes our loved ones away long before they are gone from this earth. I celebrate with you that she is wholly her best self in heaven. Diki was one of the kindest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was beautiful inside and out. I will forever remember her beautiful smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Trivette was always so kind, sweet and gracious.  She was the most God loving person i have ever known and I feel so honored to have known her and to have grown up with Amy.  I will never forget her.  I received a Christmas card from her for many, many years and I will treasure them always.
