Patsy O. Byrd

Patsy O. Byrd age 79 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church. She was happily married to her husband of 63 years, Henderson Byrd. Patsy passed away of a broken heart which exemplifies what love truly is. She loved her family and the Lord. Patsy was good to everyone she met.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henderson Byrd; parents, Albert and Evelyn Breeden; brothers, Charles Albert Breeden and Nicky Ray Breeden; sister, Martha Edington and Connie White. Survived by children, Tammy Hanshaw, Robin (Rick) Barry, Vickie (David) Mahaffey, Victor Byrd, Jackie Newman, Ronald (Marie) Byrd and Barbie (Jimmy) Holder; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; siblings, JoAnn (Chuck) Hamilton, Peggy (Danny) Jones and Carolyn Marcum.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, November 17th at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7 pm. Pastor Steve Wright officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Friday, November 18th at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1 pm interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association.
