Paul James Bullen

Bullen, Paul James, age 86, of Powell, passed away August 28, 2011. Member of First Baptist Church of Powell. A World War II veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He served with the 5th Army in Italy and the 7th Army in France, Co M 142nd Infantry Division. He attended Powell High School and after the war received his diploma from the American School of Correspondence and worked at Beaty Chevrolet for 25 years before going into business for himself. Preceded in death by parents James and Pearl Bullen; son Paul Darrell Bullen and sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Horace York.

Survived by wife, Barbara R. Bullen; sister and brother-in-law Winston and James Evans; special relatives Cindy and George Stooksbury and Joyce and Buddy Bell all of Powell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 – 7 pm with the funeral to follow at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Pastors Phil Jones and James Waddell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery Friday for a 1 pm interment.
