

Robert "Bob" Lee McDaniel Jr., also known as Bobby Lee, passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Bob was a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. Bob was a character. He was widely known for his witty, comical, and a lot of times, inappropriate comments. Bob spent his weekends on Norris Lake for the majority of his life and made tons of lifelong friends there. In later years, Bob spent his Sundays at Loveland Baptist Church where he met the church family that he loved so much. Bob was an avid NASCAR fan and loved UT football.
Bob was preceded in death by parents, Robert Lee McDaniel, Sr. and Anna Lee McDaniel; son, Sammy McDaniel; sister, Nadyne McDevitt. He is survived by daughter, Tiffany (Kenny) Rogers; granddaughters, Kourtney (Tyler) Vallone and Chase McDaniel; grandson, Corbin McDaniel; special friend, Carolyn Ramsey; niece, Rebecca (Martin) Fisher; nephews, Michael Worley and Walter Worley; several great nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, James Bell, Steve Bell, Kyle Phillips and Joe Rutherford; host of additional friends, too numerous to count.
Visitation will be held at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 West Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918, on March 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Wayne Davis officiating. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 10th at 11:00 am, meeting at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to Loveland Baptist Church, 1320 Springhill Road, Knoxville, TN 37914.
