Foremost in Roger's life was his lifelong dedication to God, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. He'd ask his sister to read to him from the Bible, instructing her to simply “go to Matthew and read the red words.” He'd have her print copies of his favorite scriptures, which he'd fold and hand out to any friends, neighbors, or strangers. He faithfully lived the Great Commandment of Matthew 23:37, tirelessly loving God with all his heart, soul, and mind.
While his devotion to God ruled his spirit, Roger's heart knew no greater love on this earth than his love for his two children, Jason and Elisa. May they find comfort knowing that he is not only resting in peace, but also abiding in joy with his Heavenly Father.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Glena and T.J. Thomasson, and by his sister, Pollyanna, who died in infancy.
Survivors include son Jason (Tabitha) Thomasson, daughters Eliza (Johnathan) Amspacher, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Roy) Durham and Glenda (Joe) Russell; and brother, Jack (Joanne) Thomasson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beverly Park Place, who loved and cared for Roger.
