Ruby M. Ellison

Ellison, Ruby Musgrave, 84, of Inskip, passed away after a sudden and brief illness Wednesday night at U T Hospital. Life-long member of Inskip United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Homer; son, David; parents, Luther and Rhoda Musgrave; sister, Julia Mullins; brothers, Bill Fish and Lynn Musgrave. Survived by son and wife, Mitchell and Gail; sons, Robert (Bob) and Gary, all of Knoxville; special niece, Patricia Galyon; grandchildren, Shannon James, Carrie, David, Bobby, Kim, Jeremy Ellison, and Leeanne Stansberry. She was a loving “Granny Ruby” to great-grandchildren, Travis, Jackson, and Cameron James, Matthew Ellison, and her other great-grandchildren, Brett, Bradley, and Faith. Also surviving are her sisters, Jo Kidd, Willie Owens, Evelyn Owens; sisters-in-law, Juanita Fish, Gail Musgrave, Gladys Ellison, Nina Brewer, Annie Brown, Omi Ellison; brother-in-law, Buddy Ellison; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses of UT, 7th floor South, for their loving care of Ruby. Family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, with funeral service to follow, officiated by Jeremiah Parker. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery 12:45 pm Sunday for 1 pm interment services.
