Sheila Hancock Bounds, 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on August 1, 2025. Sheila was known for her warm spirit and love of adventure. She especially cherished traveling with friends and her beloved husband, Bill Bounds, who preceded her in death. She was an avid cat lover and a proud fan of Tennessee football—cheering on the Vols every season.
Sheila dedicated many years of her life to supporting students as a teaching assistant with Knox County Schools, a role she truly loved. Her kindness and patience made her a beloved colleague and friend.
Sheila is survived by her sister, Brenda Stansberry and her “special” brother-in-law, Marty Stansberry; nieces, Megan Clark (Garrett) and Chelsea Stansberry (Travis Lawson); and grandnieces, Ainsley and Carley Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, and her parents, Jack Hancock and Betty Brown Hancock.
Family will receive friends Thursday, August 7th from 1:00 pm -2:45 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with graveside immediately following at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
