Rusty was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church. He was a graduate of South Florida University. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Rusty loved his sports and was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide! He has held various jobs in the transportation and restaurant industry. Most recently, he was employed with Food City.
Rusty is preceded in death by his father, Rev. William "Will" Carter.
He leaves behind his wife Thea Byerly Carter; children Jake and Zak Carter; mother Catherine U. Carter; brothers Robby and Richey Carter and sister Caty Carter Breeden.
The family welcomes friends to a Visitation at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow. The family will have a private Graveside Service.
