Harlingen, Texas – Emma Gonzalez, 91, fell asleep in death on Monday, June 12, 2017, with family by her side. She was born on April 4, 1926 to the late Magdaleno Martinez and Maria Del Refugio Limas in Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Preceding her in death are her sisters, Sofia Martinez, Elisa Martinez, Mariana Martinez, brother, Jorge Monroy and sons-in-law, Miguel Maldonado and Jim Guy.
Emma is survived by her three daughters, Eunice Guy, Ricarda Maldonado, Emma Chapa; three sons, Feliciano Gonzalez, Abraham Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lucila Martinez, Esperanza Monroy, Ruth Monroy; brothers, Alejandro Limas and David Monroy.
She was a Jehovah’s Witness who had strong faith in Jehovah God. Emma will be remembered for her deep love and positive faith of hope for the future.
A family service will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home located in La Feria, Texas on Thursday, June 15 at 2:00pm.
