Jesus Manuel Garcia Ibarra

Jesús Manuel García Ibarra, de 70 años y cerca de Los Indios, Texas falleció el 15 de diciembre de 2025. El 25 de diciembre de 1954 nació en Río Bravo, Tamaulipas y creció en Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas, hijo de Monserrato (Monse) García (†), y Alicia Ibarra, quien hoy vive en Harlingen, TX.

A Jesús Manuel le sobreviven su madre amada, Alicia Ibarra, su querida esposa, María Teresa Vela, sus hijos e hijas Juan Manuel (Jason), Diana Candanoza (Manuel), Margarito Monserrato (Elsa Delia), José Antonio (Marisol), David (Brenda), Jerry (Yvette) y Judy (Daniel) Farias, 20 nietos, 3 bisnietos, sus 3 hermanos, Javier (Irma) García, Monserrato (Josefina) García, Guadalupe (Petra) García y sus 4 hermanas, Paula (Urbano) Zúñiga, Alicia Velásquez, Sylvia Reyna y San Juanita (Carlos) Reyes.

En 1976, Jesús Manuel y María Teresa emigraron a Estados Unidos de México. Durante los años a finales de la década de los 1970s y principios de los 1980s se establecieron y vivieron en Rangerville Rd. en Harlingen, Texas. Al fallecer su padre, Jesús Manuel ayudó mucho a sus hermanos y hermanas. Él ayudó directamente a algunos de sus familiares cercanos a obtener la residencia permanente durante la Ley de la Amnistía de 1986, y ahora ellos y sus familias viven en Rangerville Rd. en Harlingen, Texas. Unos años después, Jesús Manuel, su esposa y familia se fueron a vivir a una área cerca de Bluetown y Santa María, Texas, en la carretera S. 281 Hwy, y abrieron un negocio en Los Indios, Texas.

Como mecánico de muchos años, Manuel sentía una gran pasión por hacer reparaciones de carros y camionetas. Después de un tiempo, abrió otro negocio relacionado con la tramitación de documentos para transmigrantes. Tuvo una fuerte presencia en el área de Harlingen, rodeado de familiares, amigos y colegas por muchos años. Manuel tenía una buena dedicación de trabajo y mantuvo a su familia durante mucho tiempo. Siempre ayudó a los demás a llegar a sus metas. También inculcó el valor de la educación en su familia, dejándoles claro que el que no quería estudiar, tendría que fregarle duro con él. Hoy muchos de sus hijos e hijas están estudiados con carreras profesionales.

Su partida ha dejado un gran dolor y vacío para toda su familia, especialmente su esposa Tere y madre, Doña Licha. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes, 19 de diciembre de 2025, de 1:00 pm a 11:00 pm, con un Servicio de Oración y presentación a las 7:00 pm, y el sábado 20 de diciembre de 2025, con un servicio en la capilla a las 10:00 am y el entierro a las 11:00am.

Jesus Manuel Garcia Ibarra, 70, from near Los Indios, Texas passed away on December 15, 2025. On December 25, 1954, he was born in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas and grew up in Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas, son of Monserrato (Monse) Garcia (†), and Alicia Ibarra, who is from Harlingen, TX.

Jesus Manuel is survived by his loving mother, Alicia Ibarra, beloved wife, Maria Teresa Vela, his and his sons & daughters Juan Manuel (Jason) Garcia, Diana (Manuel) Candanoza, Margarito Monserrato (Elsa Delia) Garcia, Jose Antonio (Marisol) Garcia, David (Brenda) Garcia, Jerry (Yvette) Garcia and Judy (Daniel) Farias, 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his 3 brothers, Javier (Irma) Garcia, Monserrato Monse (Josefina) Garcia, Guadalupe (Petra) Garcia and his 4 sisters, Paula (Urbano) Zuniga, Alicia Velasquez, Silvia Reyna, and San Juanita (Carlos) Reyes.

In 1974, Jesus Manuel and Maria Teresa immigrated to the United States from Mexico and settled on Rangerville Rd. in Harlingen, Texas for a few years in the late 70s and early 80s. Jesus Manuel directly helped some of his family obtain their green cards during the 1986 Amnesty, and now they and their families live on Rangerville Rd. A few years later, Jesus Manuel and his wife moved closer to Bluetown & Santa Maria, TX on Military Highway S. 281 and operated a small business in Los Indios, TX.

As a mechanic, Jesus Manuel had a passion for doing full overhauls on cars and trucks. Later, he operated another small business with processing paperwork for transmigrants. He had a strong presence in the Harlingen area with family, friends, and colleagues for many years. Jesus Manuel had an incredible work ethic and provided for his family for many years. He always believed in helping others. He instilled the value of education in his family by making it known that if you did not want to go get an education, then you had to work hard. Today, almost all his children are in professional careers. Jesus Manuel was a man of strong Christian faith, tremendous honor, and true love for family.

His passing has left us with sorrow for all his family, especially for his wife, Teresa and his mother, Doña Licha. For quite some time, he lived and struggled with Parkinson’s. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 1:00pm-11:00pm, with a 7pm Prayer Service and Saturday, December 20, 2025 with a Chapel Service at 10:00am, and interment at 11:00am.
