Jose E. Campos was born In Cojutepeque, El Salvador. He migrated to San Benito, Texas at the age of 30 where he worked as a ranch hand for 10 years. Then, in 1993, he moved to Daytona, Florida where he worked as a welder – a profession he loved and cherished. He retired at the age of 67 and moved back to Harlingen, Texas where he lived for the remainder of his life. He will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humor.
Jose is survived by his wife Ana Campos; daughters: Roxana (Howard) Campbell and Sandra Campos; grandchildren: Janae, Paul, Howard, Brice, Hadie, and Daniel; brothers: Tulio (Veronica) Campos and Jorge (Nena) Campos; sister Miriam Rauda; son-in-law Ruben Tovar, nieces and nephews, and other family who supported him throughout his years. He will be greatly missed here on Earth by those who love him, though welcomed by his loving daughter, Yanira, in Heaven.
Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, Texas. Procession to follow.
