Jose Consuelo "Chelo" Garza

He was born to Simon Garza and Anastasia Valenzuela on December 6, 1923 in Cruillas, Tamps. Jose married Francisca Gonzalez and had two children; Rosa Elia and Blanca Elva. After the death of his first wife, Jose moved to San Benito, Texas to be closer to his daughters and their families. Once here, he found love once again and married Sara Garza. His family was most important to him.

Jose enjoyed being a member of his church (Fe Esperanza y Amor) and loved to sing and play the guitar.

He enjoyed being outside and made friends everywhere he went.

Jose is survived by his wife Sara; daughter Blanca Elva (Felipe Machado) 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Jose is preceded in death by wife; Francisca, daughter Rosa Elia, parents; Simon and Anastasia. Siblings; Tito, Maria, Elvira, Simon, Abel, and Altagracia.

A visitation for Jose will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
