It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Hinojosa Longoria, a beloved mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of the La Feria community, who left us peacefully on October 4, 2024, at the age of 69.
Linda was born on July 9, 1955, in La Feria, Texas, where she spent her life surrounded by family and friends. A gifted cook, Linda had a unique ability to turn every meal into a celebration, filling her home with warmth and laughter. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple family dinner, her culinary creations brought everyone together and made each occasion memorable.
Linda was deeply involved in the La Feria community, dedicating countless hours to local initiatives and helping those in need. Her kindness and generosity were boundless, and she believed in the power of togetherness and support.
An artist at heart, Linda loved drawing and engaging in crafts. Her creativity flourished as she poured her imagination into every project, from handmade decorations to beautiful sketches. These artistic endeavors brought joy not only to her but also to everyone fortunate enough to receive her creations.
In her leisure time, Linda also found joy in knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that warmed the hearts of her loved ones. Each stitch was a reflection of the love she poured into her work.
Above all, Linda was the best mother anyone could ask for. She showered her children with unconditional love, guiding and nurturing them with a patient and compassionate heart. Her home was a safe haven, filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of her embrace.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years Ramon Longoria, her children Billie Joe Schulte, Yvette Longoria, Desiree Longoria, her grandchildren Austin Skyler Wood, Nikita Renee Wood, Destiny Eve Martinez, Jacob Longoria Montes, her great-grandchildren Christina Marie Guzman, and her siblings Vicente Hinojosa, Gloria Torres, Yolanda Garza, Andrea Grammas, Olga Maldonado, Janie Jordan, Guadalupe Hinojosa, Josefa Garcia, and Samantha Dull.
