Manuela Reyna

Manuela (Anaya) Reyna of Harlingen, Texas passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Felipe and Avelina Anaya in General Bravo Nuevo Leon, Mexico, living most of her life in Harlingen, Texas.

Manuela was married on March 15, 1953 to her beloved and late husband Domingo Reyna Sr. in which they shared 67 beautiful years together before his passing in July 2020.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was known to all as "Grandma Mema". She was the heart of our family, spiritual leader, a hardworking, and a reserved woman. She always made sure there was something in her stove to feed anyone that came to her home or made sure that they were drinking something. She loved her family dearly and treasured the times she spent with them. The memories they made will live on forever.

Manuela is survived by her children Maria De La Luz Reyna Henderson; Rosalinda De Leon (Abel); and Domingo reyna Jr. (Marivel).

Manuela was preceded in death by her husband Domingo Reyna Sr.; her son Victor Manuel Reyna and her daughter Gloria Reyna; her father Felipe Anaya and her mother Avelina Anaya; her siblings Jesus Anaya; Jose Anaya; Martin Anaya; Ascension Cantu; Cruz Morales; Maria Garza; Ninfa Anaya; Elvira Gutierrez and Cristela Quintanilla.

Manuela also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Manuela will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral mass will occur Friday, July 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 1313 W Buchanan St, Harlingen, Texas 78550. A burial will occur Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, Texas 78559.

Serving as pallbearers are Adriel De Leon, Bobby Meza, Efrain Cavazos Jr. , Adrian De Leon Jr. , Trey Garza, Jonas Garza, Isaac Reyna, Nathan Reyna, Domingo Reyna Jr. , Abel De Leon, Victor Manuel Reyna Jr. And Adrian De Leon .

The family would like to thank her outstanding caregivers, Petra Sosa and Janie Ruiz, and her nurse, Joe for providing the most outstanding.
