Maria del Socorro Rodriguez

June 28, 1936 – September 19, 2025

Our beloved Maria Del Socorro Rodriguez fell asleep in death on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 89. She awaits the sure promise of the resurrection to a paradise earth, as Jehovah lovingly assures us in Acts 24:15.

Maria was born on June 28, 1936, in Linares, Nuevo León, to Braulio Hernández and Guadalupe Alemán. She was one of fifteen children and was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, with whom she shared many cherished memories.

Maria was first married to Francisco Zapata, who preceded her in death. Later, she married Aguilio Rodriguez, who also preceded her in death. Despite experiencing profound loss, Maria carried on with dignity, grace, and an unwavering devotion to her family and to her God, Jehovah.

She is survived by her children Magdalena (Armando) Ruiz,

Francisco (Talia) Zapata, Mary (Robert) Gonzales, and Melissa (Eduardo) De León. Her grandchildren Monica (Joe) Chapa, Matthew (Claudia) Cunningham, Amanda (Matthew) Grajeda, Amber (Dakota) Crownhart, Robert Gonzales, Edward (Mireya) De León, Isha, Ishel, and Itzel Zapata. And her 3 great grandchildren Jonah Chapa, Weston and Ellowyn Cunningham.

Throughout her life, Maria was known for her hospitality, generosity, and warmth. She welcomed others into her home with open arms, always offering kindness and comfort. Many will remember her deep zeal for the ministry, her love of sharing the Bible’s hope with others, and her strong faith that carried her through every trial. Her reliance on Jehovah shaped her life and was an example to all who knew her.

Her children, will forever treasure her legacy of love, strength, and faith. Her family and friends eagerly look forward to the day when Jehovah’s promise will be fulfilled, and they will welcome her back to life in perfect health on a paradise earth.

Maria will be dearly missed until that joyful day.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:30 PM with a Bible discourse at 7:00 p.m at the Sierra Event Center.
