Martina Sanchez Aguirre

Martina lived a vibrant life filled with joy and adventure. A passionate traveler, she loved exploring new places, especially cherished trips to Mexico and lively visits to the pulga. She found immense joy in dancing, playing chalupa, and the thrill of gambling. Martina treasured every moment spent with her grandkids, creating memories that will be fondly remembered. The family also fondly recalls the times spent at Cachetta, where Martina shared laughter and good times. She will be deeply missed but remembered with love for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Martina is survived by her husband, Oscar Aguirre Jr.; her children Ermila Aguirre (Gavino); Joanna Aguirre (Daniel); and Oscar Aguirre III (Magda); her mother San Juana Sanchez; her siblings Maria Barron, Juan Sanchez, Mario Sanchez, Julio Sanchez and Sonia Sanchez.

Martina was preceded in death by her father-in-law Samuel Cavazos and her mother-in-law Ermila Mendoza; her brother Robert Sanchez; her brother-in-law Joe Aguirre and her brother-in-law Albino Aguirre.

Martina also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Martina will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A rosary will occur Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home located at 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
