Pedro Barragan Oyoque

Pedro Barragán Oyoque was born on May 19, 1949, in Citala, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and proud great-grandfather whose life was guided by faith, hard work, and a deep love for his family.

Pedro shared 56 blessed years of marriage with his beloved wife, Refugia Cuevas Oyoque. Together, under God’s guidance, they built a strong and loving family and raised four children: Pedro Oyoque Jr., Santos Oyoque, Carlos Oyoque, and Mayra Jaso. He was also blessed with wonderful in-laws who became like his own children, including Ariana, Rita, and RJ, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was a proud grandfather to seventeen grandchildren: Santos Oyoque Jr., Terri Garza, Jessica Oyoque Barrón, Pedro Oyoque III, Omar Oyoque, David Oyoque, Michael Oyoque, Isaiah Oyoque, Benjamin Jaso, Estrella Vásquez, Lidia Oyoque, Briana Martínez, Emily Oyoque, Noah Meadows, Daniela Oyoque, Aidee Oyoque, and Madelyn Jaso, and a loving great-grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great blessing in his life.

Pedro was known as a hardworking man and a true family man who lived by example. He had a God-given talent for singing rancheras, often using his voice to bring joy, comfort, and togetherness to family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Oyoque and Julia Oyoque Barragán, and his siblings, Nicolas Oyoque, Leopoldo Oyoque, Socorro Alvarado, Maria Lidia Euyoque, and Jose Barragán Euyoque.

He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his three sisters, Esperanza Flores, Marychuy Oyoque, and Rita Arroyo, who will forever cherish his memory.

With faith in God’s promise of eternal life, Pedro Barragán Oyoque now rests in the loving arms of our Lord. His legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on through the many generations he touched until the day we are reunited again.

A visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas, 78559, on December 23, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A Rosary is scheduled for the same day at 7:00 pm.

A Chapel Service will take place on December 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. Following the service, a burial will be held at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
