Rogelio is predeceased by his parents; Roberto and Maria Badillo Sr. and his brother; Raul Badillo.
Rogelio is survived by his 5 brothers, Roberto, Rodolfo, Ricardo, Roland and Ronald; his 4 sisters; Rosie, Rita, Rebecca and Rachel; and his lifelong companion of many years, Janie Alonso Badillo.
Rogelio was born and raised in Mercedes, TX on July 29th, 1956. He graduated from Mercedes High School in 1975 and furthered his education and earned his carpentry degree at Moorhead Technical School.
Rogelio was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all who were blessed to have met him. Rogelio enjoyed music, dressing to the nines, dancing, sports, billiards, playing chess and family gatherings. He was also a skilled carpenter, a trade he perfected alongside his father. Rogelio implemented those skills during his tenure with the Mercedes ISD and pursued his dream of running his own cabinet shop.
A celebration of his life is scheduled at 5pm-9pm on July 22 at Heavenly Grace in La Feria, TX. Rosary will be from 7-8pm.
